Today is the aniversary of Mestre Pastinha’s death, 13/11/1981. A version of a documentary with subtitles has recently been posted on YouTube:

It’s also Felix’s birthday, so there was a roda to celebrate both, and here are Felix’s games:
After our training we heard about the terrorist attack in Paris – live updates from The Guardian, which so far has claimed 120 lives (CNN currently reporting 153 dead), but could still climb higher as there are many injured.
And the ‘jungle’ refugee camp in Calais was heavily affected by many fires, although this has been barely reported (so far only seen it in the Mirror and Daily Mail, hopefully this will change, but the news have been taken over by the Paris attacks). Some of my friends are down there today, including Nisha, they have been driving down every so often with things they collect and sort via Dulwich Hamlet FC and other means, and deliver them to the refugees who are in desperate need of help, especially now, with Winter closing in. This fire has left 300+ refugees without tents.
