Jogo de São Bento

Ai, ai, ai, ai São Bento me chama
Ai, ai, ai, ai São Bento me qué.

I’m somewhat confused as to what the São Bento game consists of. My understanding of it is that it’s a fast game, comprised mainly of attacking kicks (not necessarily with any agressive intent, I’m talking about the moves used). Anyway, turns out it’s not that straight forward? I found this:

Any comments and opinions, or help in clarifying much appreciated.

Also because it depends on whether it’s São Bento Grande de Angola or São Bento Grande Regional… But if the music is fast then it’s regional, right?

Then according to this http://www.magalicapoeira.com/historia-da-capoeira/toques-de-capoeira

São Bento Grande
*Nesse momento a luta é enfatizada no jogo, exigindo velocidade de reflexos.*
translation
*In this moment the emphasis is on fighting, demanding speed and reflex from the players.*

Ai, ai, ai, ai
São Bento me chama
Ai, ai, ai, ai
São Bento me leva
Ai, ai, ai, ai
São Bento me prenda
Ai, ai, ai, ai
São Bento me solta
Ai, ai, ai, ai
Me chamou que vou
Ai, ai, ai, ai
São Bento me qué.
Ai, ai, ai, ai
Pra jogar capoeira
Ai, ai, ai, ai
E me joga no chao
Ai, ai, ai, ai
E apanha e cengonha
Ai, ai, ai, ai
E se joga no chao
Ai, ai, ai, ai
